Why prices strengthened
Tight raw-cashew supply and strong processor demand supported prices. CAC also reported that disruptions to Tanzania’s harvest auctions tightened supply, while Vietnamese and Indian buyers competed for raw nuts.

Why prices may ease
CAC noted that prices typically soften when Tanzania and Indonesia harvests enter the market from September to January, increasing supply.

Why the 2025 range appears lower
Later CAC reporting noted raw-cashew prices around US$1,350 per tonne. The 2025 source figure is an average wet-price range, while earlier years are shown as annual ranges, so the comparison should be read with caution.
